DNV Accredited for Interprivacy Certification
We are happy to announce that DNV has successfully completed its formal Interprivacy accreditation procedure. DNV is now approved by Accredia to issue Interprivacy certifications to data controllers and processors around the world.
Interprivacy is a unique standard enabling (private and public entities) to assess and certify compliance with major international and regional data protection obligations across the world. It encompasses the main obligations of the EU GDPR, the Convention108+, the Malabo convention, the ASEAN privacy framework, the Ibero-American PDPS, and the Global CBPR Framework. It provides a highly interoperable framework to facilitate mutual recognition across different jurisdictions through a single and common set of criteria.
Interprivacy empowers data controllers and data processors to:
- Check and document your compliance;
- Protect personal data and data subject rights;
- Reduce your legal and financial risks;
- Certify and value your compliance;
- Simplify and homogenize your compliance management; and
- Facilitate international data transfers.
While being geographically neutral, Interprivacy requirements are also closely aligned with Europrivacy, the European Data Protection Seal under Art. 42 GDPR. Both schemes use similar criteria and documentation, making them highly interoperable.
Interprivacy and Europrivacy certifications enable to build trust and confidence in data protection. Data subjects and B2B partners can depend on the fact that certified data processing is regularly audited by qualified professionals and supported by an ecosystem of excellence.
On behalf of European Center for Certification and Privacy, we congratulate DNV and look forward to recording their Interprivacy certifications.
Be smart. Avoid risk. Value your compliance. And enjoy with Interprivacy!
